*Continue reading novel and completing study guides; remember, rereading is your FRIEND for analysis.
"Miscrocosm" rough draft or study guides. --Rough drafts due FRIDAY!
SAT List 6 & 7 next week--antiquated, atrophy, derision, perjury, sycophant, morose, enmity, clandestine, impetuous, conciliate -know the antonyms, synonyms, parts of speech, be able to use in a sentence and usage.
Agenda:
Teacher collects early work for "Miscrocosm" rough draft or study guides. --Rough drafts due FRIDAY!
Teacher calls for early submission or late work for study guides. (chapter 7-8 was due last class meeting)
Teacher advises students about specific words to study for next week's test.
Students vote on SAT Combo Quiz lists so that teacher can compile them and plan for the rest of the school year.

*We graded the quiz and students gave instructor constructive criticism for format. NOBODY failed! |

*Planned Vocabulary assessments for the last six weeks, yes the SIXTH six weeks grading period are:
*April 14th
*April 21st
*April 28th
*May 5th
*May 12th
* May 19th
* Report Cards will be given to students April 16
For instant access to your WISD student’s grades, check the parent portal. If you have not signed up for parent portal, you may do so at any time during the school year.
*Extra credit deadline: May 5th (TWO opportunities exist, one for an essay and one for poetry)
*Retesting policies reviewed with class.
*Continue reading the novel - teacher will accept completed study guides, early work, at any time!
*Rough draft - my bedroom is a MICROcosm. Rough draft is due Thursday.
Activities:
Teacher accesses study guides for chapters 7-8
Review test 5-6 - test corrections made in class. However, if a student made less than a 70, the student must attend tutorials before or after school. Teacher will assess retest and the higher of the two grades will be entered into the grade book, up to a 70.
Student promises to bring The Dark Knight for us to watch the interaction with The Joker and Batman about loss of civilization and the rules in comparison to LOTF |

*Choral Review Lists 8-11
*Roots Quiz
*Grade quiz and put info into grade book
*Post grades in the hallway and allow students to access before end of class.
*Reviewed math vocabulary for TAKS
*We have time to read in class. (20 minutes) |
